A soup to die for

After reading countless reviews, and after recommeding countless others to go try out the food, it was finally time for us to have it: the famous ramen at Marutama Ramen, on the 3 floor of Central. Despite the long queue (where you can get to look through the glass and drool over the piping hot bowls of ramen that the customers inside are having), we were seated in while, and my partner and our friends put their Japanese to good use by rattling off the menu (not to the waitress of course) in Jap, while I gave a blank look to all their ramblings. After settling for the chicken base soup and the seven nuts based soup, we ordered our topping of spring onions, seasoned eggs and char siew and waited eagerly for the delicacy to arrive.

We were not joking about the soup to die for.

Rich and savoury, we finished every drop of the soup. And the char siew was heavenly, literally melting in the mouth. And the egg, simple as it looked, the texture was smooth, and the (presumably) soy sauce taste blended just nicely into the egg. In short, it was a great meal! Guess it only made us more eager to recommend it to others . So readers, do check out this fabulous ramen stall.
